Luis Fandiño

in Artists

Composer, Producer, Drummer

Luis Fandiño was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina.  He started playing the drums at age 5 with a tiny Drums Set Toy that his parents gave him as a present, hoping he would eventually stop banging on every pan and pot he would find. At age 7, he started taking Drums Classes and by the time he was 12 years old, he was already playing in parties with his first band.

Since then, Luis developed several projects (Antares, Etcetera, Tercer Mundo, La Megabanda) while promoting tours in different cities of Argentina, appearing on TV and Radio shows.

In 1983, the band Etcetera, which Luis was a part of being a drummer, singer and composer, was chosen as the “Revelation” Rock Band for that year. At age 21, Luis recorded his first album for an important Record Label Company (Interdisc-CBS) which was part of the whole underground artistic movement of the 80’s in Buenos Aires. This also allowed him to share stages and Recording Studios with bands that would become very popular and important across Latin America and Europe, such as Git, Enanitos Verdes and La Bersuit.

In 2000, Luis moved to Miami as he distanced himself from the Music world. Years later, he returned to the music and completed tours as a Tour Manager across the U. S. and Spain for bands such as: La Bersuit and Andres Calamaro (also very popular across the Hispanic and European Audience).

Since 2005, Fandiño composed and produced a soloist New Age Music Album for Spas, as he kept producing several singers in Miami as well.  In early 2011, he begun producing songs for the sound track of “SoBe Real, a feature film shot in Miami due to be realeased in 2012.

Luis is currently producing and composing original music for broadcasting on artmiami.tv.
